INSTALLATION GUIDE

Decide a location for your Mapit, considering:

Hidden and difficult to access location (inside fairing).

Well-ventilated area when possible.

Away from heat sources (engine, battery, radiator exhaust).

Avoid cables being trapped.

Look for a location that protects the device from water.

Avoid installing close or under metal parts (affects GPS coverage).

Place it more than 8.66 inch from the driver’s body.

Do not dissasemble, modify, pierce or damage the device or battery.

Once the location has been decided, use the Double-sided adhesive (3) to attach the Mapit Device (1) to a non-moving part, ensuring that it does not come off or move while using the vehicle. If necessary, reinforce the installation with Cable Ties (2) or additional double-sided tape.

Place the Label Side (1-A) of the device facing down, so the Icon Logo Side (1-B) is on top, ensuring optimal GPS coverage.

On Honda vehicles, the connection point is the DLC connector. Connect the 6-pin Red Connector (1-C) to the red connector on the vehicle.

If the vehicle does not have a 6-pin connector, use the 4-pin Optional Adapter (4) to connect it to the corresponding connector on the vehicle.

If the vehicle does not have 4/6-pin connector, locate an appropriate connection point (by consulting the vehicle’s electrical diagram) to the post-ignition circuit (e.g., post-contact power or lights).

After connecting the device and moving it slightly, the LED will light up. Once installed, make sure that the side LED lights up.

To link your device with the Mapit app and start using all its features, simply follow the instructions you received by email or scan the QR code on the ID Label (6) included in your Installation Manual (5). This step is essential to activate your account and connect your vehicle to the app.

Make sure notifications are enabled on your mobile, to receive real-time alerts.

Full communication between the device and the app will automatically activate after your first 15-minute ride.
